The governing body of the Council on Library/Media Technicians (COLT) is the Executive Board consisting of the:

I have been in the library field since 1973, I have worked at the Hughes library since 1999. I love working in libraries, I have worked in three different types of libraries, patients library in a hospital, post library on an Army base and my current position here at DIA. The Hughes library supports the academic mission of the Joint Military Intelligence College and the analytical mission of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and other organizations of the Intelligence Community (IC), we provide high quality and convenient unclassified library services.
I work in the circulation department of the library, I am in charge of Interlibrary loans, cataloging of students thesis, and serials management.
I am a Library Assistant for the RAND Corporation; previously I was with the Joint Bank-Fund Library of the International Monetary Fund & World Bank.
As a Library paraprofessional I have worked both front of house and technical services, to include cataloging and indexing, acquisitions, collection maintenance,
circulation and reference. I bring 15 years experience working in Special Libraries.
I have worked in Libraries for the last eight years. I began my career at Miramar College Library part time as a clerk. A year later I achieved a full-time clerk position at Mesa College. A year later I was promoted to Library Technician. At that time I monitored overdue notices and fiduciary holds. I would also oversee shelf management. A few years later I was moved to acquisitions which are what I am doing now. I also work Saturdays at Mira Costa College Library. I’m very excited to be your Colt Secretary.
I have worked in libraries for over 33 years. I started as a serials clerk at a university library in Indiana and later I did circulation work at a public library in Washington State. I also worked as a full-charge bookkeeper for the Girl Scouts.
For the past 25 years, I have been employed at Maricopa Community Colleges in Tempe, Arizona. I am a library technician in central tech services. Since 1990, I have been responsible for ordering print & non-print materials for the 11 community college libraries located in the metro Phoenix area. I also provide ILL service for my location.
I work at Lemont Public Library District, . I have been at Lemont
for 16 years where I have worked all aspects of circulation and technical services.
Currently, I am the Head of Circulation Services which encompasses Circulation,
Technical Services & Acquisitions.

My name is Cheryl Jeans. I am the new Central Regional Director.
I have worked as the administrative assistant to the Director of Lemont Public Library in Lemont, Illinois for the past 21 years.
I am married with two children and a son-in-law. I am also the proud grandma of four grandchildren (3 German Shepard mixes and 1 Huskie mix).
My mission during my term is to actively promote COLT to support staff in my region
Hi! My name is JoAnn McGloin. I am a Library Technical Assistant, currently working at the Lemont Public Library. I've been working at Lemont Public since 1998, and have first-hand knowledge about Support staff, because I AM a support staff person!
I'm very excited to be a part of COLT, and encourage ALL to become members!
Since 1993 I have worked at El Camino College’s Schauerman Library, beginning as a Library Media Technician, first in the periodicals/reserve department, then moving to media services in 1999. I am currently in charge of acquisition and circulation of the faculty media collection and assist in the distribution of AV equipment throughout the El Camino Campus. I served as editorial director of Library Mosaics magazine from 1999 to December 2005. With my associate editor, Ed Martinez, I have presented workshops for various support staff groups, most recently presenting at the 2006 ALA/LSSIRT Conference within a Conference in New Orleans. I am a member of both COLT and ALA/LSSIRT and support active participation in both organizations.
